Health & Safety Policy
New World of Discovery Childcare is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all children in our care. The health and safety of children, families, and staff is our highest priority.
Illness Policy
Children who are sick should remain at home to prevent the spread of illness.
If a child becomes ill during the day, parents or guardians will be contacted and asked to pick up the child as soon as possible.
Immunizations
All children enrolled at New World of Discovery Childcare must meet the immunization requirements established by the State of California.
A copy of each child’s immunization record must be provided before the child may attend the childcare.
Medication
Medication will only be administered with written authorization from a parent or guardian and in accordance with state childcare licensing regulations.
Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency, trained staff will follow established emergency procedures and contact parents or guardians immediately. Emergency contact information must be kept current at all times.
Sanitation and Cleanliness
Our facility follows strict sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a healthy environment. Toys, learning materials, and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Supervision and Safety
Children are supervised at all times by qualified staff. Our team is trained in child safety practices and emergency response procedures.
Authorized Pick-Up
Children will only be released to parents, guardians, or individuals authorized in writing by the child’s parent or guardian. Identification may be required for child pick-up.
